Mayor of Amman signed the Memorandum of Understanding

Collaboration with the Greater Amman Municipality has been formalized
We are pleased to announce that the Greater Amman Municipality (GAM) has received the Prime Minister’s approval and on Sunday November 27th his Excellency, Dr. Yousef Al-Shawarbeh, signed the Memorandum of Understanding. With this signature the CapTain Rain consortium is now complete.
GAM is a crucial partner for the CapTain Rain project as they are responsible for coping with heavy rainfall events within the city of Amman, one of the project focal areas. GAM’s knowledge and data about the city and its infrastructure is very valuable for the hydraulic and hydrological modelling within CapTain Rain. We will continue to closely work together in developing ideas and recommendations for implementing measures to retain water in public spaces and also to motivate the local population to capture rainwater at the household level.
